Checkout our amazing workshops and their presenters below!

1. Developing Leaders the JESUS WAY

Steve Thomas - International Apostolic Team Leader, S&L Ministries International (based in England)

Many of us feel that leaders are lacking in our churches. Come see and learn how Jesus managed to inspire and develop 12 ordinary – and young! - working people (not many of them educated professionals) and form them into incredible apostolic leaders!

2. Understanding Missional Living

Joemon Joseph - Senior Pastor, Bombay Baptist Church, Mumbai, India

A life on a mission is both a lifestyle and journey. In Christ is found the grace to live this kind of missional life with a sense of joy and excitement. In this workshop, you will explore what it means to grow and shift from a "Come & See" mindset to a "Go & Be" mindset.  Joemon will also share valuable stories of the personal and practical challenges he encountered when making this shift and planting churches in and around Mumbai, India.

3. The Holy Spirit, Hearing God & the Prophetic

Ron MacLean - S&L Ministries, North America, Central Team Leader (based out of Gateway North, Winnipeg, MB); Bethany Johansen - The Summit Church, Twin Cities, MN

In this workshop, our goal is to equip you with Biblical understanding and practical tools to increase the Holy Spirit’s presence, power and leading in your life.

4. The Great “Awokening”

Andrew Micklefield - Gateway North/Calvary Church, MB; Stephen Fendley - Senior Pastor, The Summit Church, West Fargo, ND; Dane Johansen - Senior Pastor, The Summit Church, Twin Cities, MN

In this workshop we will tackle how “woke” ideology and progressive Christianity are blowing apart people's faith and what you can do about it.

5. The Place of Small Groups in the Life of the Local Church

Robert Baron - Senior Pastor, West End Christian Community, Winnipeg, MB

In this workshop we will be talking about the “oikos” - not the Bible word for “yogurt”, but “house.” We’ll be looking at the significance of houses as gathering places for the Early Church and we’ll discuss the continued importance of home-sized groups in the life of the local Church today. We will also grapple with practical questions about building and integrating “oikos”-sized groups into a contemporary Church mindset and structure.

6. Intercultural Ministries at Gateway North: “Embracing all nations and creating a pathway to Jesus”

Julia Todd & Sally Nelson - Gateway North, Winnipeg, MB

Come and hear how God has opened a way for Gateway North to touch the nations in Winnipeg through an evolving English and settlement program over the last 7 years. Meet Julia and Sally who have shaped this fruitful intercultural ministry, along with their team of dedicated volunteers. Learn about the current work and hear testimonies on how God is using this program to encourage, support and disciple both believers and the unchurched as they make Winnipeg their new home.

7. Church Planting & Discipleship 101

Bryan McCrea - Senior Pastor, The Summit Church, Sioux Falls, SD

The Church is in serious decline in North America. There are many contributors to this dilemma. There are also many pointing fingers of blame, while others simply want to compromise the Gospel. In this workshop, we seek to provide hope & encouragement that pushes against this dilemma. We will work to equip leaders with practical, biblical understanding about how to “Recalibrate” ourselves to the Great Commission of “making disciples of all nations . . .”

8. Practical Use & Understanding of Charismatic Gifts

John & Val Micklefield - S&L Ministries (based out of Gateway North, Winnipeg, MB)

The gifts of the Holy Spirit, listed in 1 Corinthians 12, are tools to be used rather than treasures to be revered!  In this workshop, John and Val will help us understand exactly what these gifts are and how each of us can operate and grow in them – whether in a church setting or everyday life.  So, if you want to learn more, join us for this practical, hands-on workshop about these nine wonderful, charismatic gifts.
